Professional History
Arbitrator Siegel began his labor relations career at the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc., where he clerked while attending Albany Law School of Union University. While in law school, he studied under renowned arbitrator Jeffrey M. Selchick, Esq.
Upon graduation from law school in 1991, he joined the well regarded management-side law firm of Shaw & Perelson, LLP, in Poughkeepsie, NY. While at Shaw & Perelson, Arbitrator Siegel negotiated over 200 collective bargaining agreements. He also handled hundreds of arbitrations and other adversarial proceedings involving contract interpretation, employee discipline, the New York State Taylor Law, and the National Labor Relations Act. He became a partner in the firm in 1998.
In 2005, Arbitrator Siegel started his full time arbitration, mediation, and fact finding practice. He quickly became a member of all of the major labor arbitration rosters in his region, including the American Arbitration Association, the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, the New York State Public Employment Relations Board, the New York City Office of Collective Bargaining, and the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission.
In recognition of his professional excellence, Arbitrator Siegel was inducted into the National Academy of Arbitrators in 2011.

Education
Arbitrator Siegel received his law degree from Albany Law School of Union University. He graduated cum laude from Tufts University, where he majored in history.
